Engineering
The sturmPrinz occupies a very special place within the ASSOS collection. It was born without the intention of ever being available on the market. We started the development of the sturmPrinz about four years ago quite unofficially with the core of the ASSOS factory team. We developed this ASSOS "child" without any eye on cost, so every single aspect was really 100% purely focused on function and performance. This ASSOS credo in the development of new products generally applies to all products, where we focus 90% of the development only on the performance and the final product, without looking at the financial details. For the last 10%, however, our internal "bean counters" come in - quite rightly - and make sure that at the end of the development process, when everything is defined and ready, your ASSOS product is also somehow "affordable". With the sturmPrinz, however, there was no such process. However, our goal was also not to develop an absolutely waterproof jacket. Because 100% waterproof also means 100% tight in terms of moisture transport from the inside to the outside and that would be really disastrous if you imagine you're in the shape of your life in a race, you're in the lead and there are still two hours to the finish. Why? Because at that moment your body is working at maximum capacity and sweating, moisture wicking MUST start early and be guaranteed....
